MEET BENEDICT LUMBERJACK…

Set up by Richard Curtis, Make My Money Matter is a campaign that demands the trillions of pounds that are invested in UK pensions goes towards building a better world, rather than being invested in unethical industries.

Research shows that £300 billion of UK pension investments are linked to deforestation, so MMMM is on a mission to raise public awareness and spark urgent action from the pensions industry before it’s too late.

We transformed BAFTA and Emmy award winner Benedict Cumberbatch (star of ‘Doctor Strange’, Sherlock’, and ‘The Hobbit’) into a hot and sweaty sauna-loving CEO of a company using pension savers’ money to destroy the world’s forests for profit – he thanks UK pension holders for the money in their pensions, which has helped ‘scorch, slash and burn’ entire rainforests.

The campaign follows on from last year’s campaign fronted by Olivia Colman, who starred as latex wearing Oblivia Coalmine.

Ahead of COP 28 we helped transformed the Oscar-winner into a potty-mouthed CEO of a fossil fuel company financed by UK pension holders to encourage people to take action. The campaign generated over 300 media articles, over 14 Million organic views, and was even re-tweet by Greta Thunberg herself! But most importantly, likelihood to shift to a green pension has rocketed by 50%. Thousands visited the Make My Money Matter site to take the first steps.
